When I was younger, I dreamed about teaching. It never dawned on me that I would be doing something so cool as helping the younger generation explore new ways to learn.

I still love computers but let’s face it I can do that in my spare time. I enjoy watching students use their minds to do amazing things.  I know you’re wondering, how I went from going to college for computers to becoming a Teaching Assistant.

Well here’s how it happened, I was graduating college on 06/2017 and my high school teacher asked me what I was going to do after college.  I replied “I would like to get a Support Specialist job because I love helping others. ”  She then said, “You know a Job that would be perfect for you since you love to help others. A Paraprofessional. “

So after our little lunching, I went home to do my research on what a paraprofessional is and what they do. I won’t go into details because we will be here all night.

Fast forward to a few months later. I can say, I really really love my job. I get to see children with different personalities try new things, dislike things, like things, even some hate things.

So that why I’ve been missing in action because I’ve been encouraging little ones to catch the waves and fight to the finish.

One thing I never thought would happen would be they would teach me a few things as well.  🙂
